After induction of TRF1–FokI, U2OS cells were sequentially incubated with iododeoxyuridine (IdU) and chlorodeoxyuridine (CIdU), genomic DNA was digested, and telomere fragments were isolated on the basis of size. The percentage of telomeres with IdU/CIdU incorporation increased with the duration of TRF1–FokI induction.
