The procedure was similar to the method described Barros et al. The mice received DEX (10 lg/kg),
DZP (1 mg/kg), or vehicle by intravenous injection and were immediately placed individually in an observation chamber with a floor divided into 50 squares（5 *5 cm). The total number of squares on which mouse walked during 5 min was counted at intervals 20 min varying from 20 to 120 min after the drug administration. The following formula based on the trapezoid rule was used to calculate the AUC: AUC = 20 9 [(min 20) + (min 40) + … + (min 120)/2].
