In quantifying the life sciences infrastructure market, IDC is focused on the IT solution set required to support biological and chemical workloads. "In today's dampened economy, few technology markets can boast growth as impressive as that which IDC sees in the Life Sciences market in the region. The market remains a bright spot for hardware, software, and services vendors alike because of continued investment by large pharmaceutical and biotech companies," said Daphne Chung, Senior Analyst, Life Sciences and Healthcare, IDC Asia/Pacific.
