【原创】脑瘫治疗 其他方法大观系列之 七:CranioSacral Therapy介绍
查看病例
“a structured diagnostic process that evaluates the mobility of the osseous cranium, the related mobility of the skull and sacrum and the palpation of the CRI (craniosacral rhythm impulse) throughout the body.” (Green)
Changes in dura mater membrane tension correspond with the rising and falling pressure and volume of cerebrospinal fluid which in turn causes adjustments in the bones that attach to the dura mater compartment.
When the natural mobility of any of the components is compromised, the function of the craniosacral system may be impaired as well.
Reducing the system impairments allows for auto-correction of abnormal rhythms.
How is it performed?
Clinicians utilize a 5-10 gram pressure on the “bony handles” (skull plates) by placing their hands on the base of the skull, or other body connections to the dural tube. Gentle hand placements are used to sense the current cranial sacral rhythm and test the mobility of the dural tube by using gentle traction techniques. Reducing restrictions in the dural tube are approached with the same traction techniques but with a more specific intervention on the area of restriction- the assessment becomes the treatment. Side note: Craniosacral proponents do encourage other treatment techniques be used in conjunction with this therapy for overall health.
What does CranioSacral Therapy do?
Reset the internal CNS environment and cerebrospinal fluid flow in order to optimize levels of health and performance.
Specific examples helping to reduce:
Headaches
Tooth-grinding
Neck, shoulder and jaw tension
Spasticity
Cognitive issues
Anxiety provoked by above conditions (relaxation)
How does it help individuals with CP?
The theory is that any above ailment experienced by an individual with CP can be helped by craniosacral therapy by reducing the established restrictions in the dural tube. Spasticity (not specifically CP) is the most common focus in literature.
What is the evidence?
A systematic review found insufficient evidence to support the general use of craniosacral therapy. Articles assessed by this review demonstrated low grades of evidence with inadequate research protocols used. Interrater reliability was also found to be poor and unreliable. Information regarding the use of craniosacral therapy for individuals with cerebral palsy is lacking. Generalizations may be made from studies relaying information regarding improvement of the impairments associated with CP presentations.
