I thank you for your kind interest in my laboratory.?At the current time I do not have an opening for a post-doctoral position, however, it is possible that I may have a position during the spring or summer of 2006.?I must wait to see what grants will be funded.?I know that you may need to find a position before that time, however if you are still interested in finding a position after April or May next year, you can contact me again to inquire.?I will keep your CV on file and will certainly contact you if a position is available.

我刚开始以为这种信不用回，过段时间再询问他就行了。后请教了有经验的说，有希望的都要马上回信。我一个星期之后才回信，说愿意等他的消息。是不是太晚了？
还有这个教授那里有个刚过去的中国留学生（读PhD），我不认识的。我想通过他私下里让他告诉我一些信息，如教授基金到了吗？或何时有职位等？他会不会帮我呢？
