皮肤科是治疗皮肤疾病的医学分支。也指综合性医院当中诊疗皮肤疾病的科室。在广义上，皮肤科还包含对头发、指（趾）甲疾病的治疗。

英文名称“Dermatology”出自法语“Dermologie”（1764年）以及拉丁文“Dermatologia”（1777年）。

中国历史上有关皮肤病的记载，至少可以追溯到3000年前。1801年，第一所真正意义上的皮肤病学校在巴黎圣路易医院开创，皮肤病的书籍也出现在该时期。
