【原创】寒假医学翻译学习日记

啦啦啦，寒假到啦！

为了督促我学习医学英语翻译，特于贵版开此贴，记录下自己的学习历程。
下面切入正题，笔者会有选择地摘录有难度的句子，与大家一起交流。绝对不是照搬照抄译文，是有很多自己东西的。不求信达雅，但求像人话。

毕竟翻译这东西也不是看几本书就能提高的，得见多识广，,不断总结（个人之见哦）。
少说废话，多做实事。迅速上今天的学习日记（虽然寒假有些事情要忙，但我一定会坚持做到每日更新！）
1月18日

• This was the conclusion of a new study published in the Journal of the AmericanCollege of Cardiology, led by a teamat Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX.
• 此句在医学英语中真可谓比比皆是！首先句子主干This was the conclusion of ……published in ……led by……
• 可总结为句型：这是发表在……的一项新研究的结论，该研究由……团队领导。
• 2 The researchers note that as aspirin is also available over the counter, it is possible thatinappropriate use may be higher than their figure suggests because of patientsmedicating themselves against the risk of primary cardiovascular events.
• 批注：（1）……is also available over the counter 可利用的非处方药
• （2） because of patients medicating themselves against the risk of primary cardiovascular events.
• 此句可谓“高大上”，medicate oneself ，against ，primary cardiovascular events.都不是省油 的灯！
  
• 关键是要搞清楚“primary”啥意思？听过primary prevention吗？聪明，“一级预防”的意思。所以此句需要专业知识意译。建议译文：因为很多患者自行用药作为心血管事件风险一级预防。
• 自行用药，赞赞赞！
• 3In May 2014, theFood and Drug Administration (FDA) advised Americans against the general use of aspirinfor primary prevention and they also recently denied a request to market the drug for such use.
• 批注：（1）此句看似简单，实则暗藏玄机，请待我分析
  
• （2） 红线句子是难点，建议国人不要普遍使用阿司匹林作为一级预防的药物。the general use of 普 遍使用……
• （3）market vt 销售 大神的翻译： 他们最近还拒绝了一个对于该药这种用途的上市销售要求。
• 4This point was explored in the study published in the JCEM, in which the researchers examined a common polymorphism (a frequent genetic mutation) in the enzyme known as D2 that transforms T4 to T3. In a previous study, hypothyroid patients with this polymorphism preferred the combination therapy, which led Dr. Bianco and his team to explore the relationship between the polymorphism and the failure of standard therapy for hypothyroidism.
