【求助】：投稿须知中有点地方不明白，麻烦帮忙看看

Instructions for authors中有这样一句话：“The name of the author and the number of the figure (in Arabic numbers) should be written in the margin in blue pencil.”
究竟是什么意思，不是太明白，请指点。另外接着的一句：
（The legends of the figures should be typed on a separate sheet headed "Figure legends".）为什么要将图和图标（figure legend？）分开？这样操作起来岂不是要一一注明，那个图标是图几的，那样不是太麻烦了？小弟第一次投稿，实在有点不懂，请指教，要是有类似的例子提供就太好了，先谢了！
