美国Virginia Tech实验室招一个生物学博士。
我导师是Virginia Tech的教授Carla Finkielstein,研究方向是the interaction between circadian clock and cell cycle, and how circadian disruption leads to cancer.

GRADUATE STUDENT RESEARCH POSITION IN CELL AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGY
A Ph.D. position is available for highly motivated and team player graduate student to begin as soon as Spring 2020. The student would be responsible for leading efforts to expand our knowledge in the regulation of circadian-mediated mechanisms governing cell cycle transitions in mammalian cells. A number of new and ongoing projects in the aforementioned area are ongoing for the student to choose upon. These projects would especially be of interest to students who want to combine multidisciplinary approaches to tackle problems in the cell and molecular biology area and also combines biochemistry and drug screening. Research will be conducted in a very supportive environment that includes, if required, potential collaborations.
Requirements. The successful applicants will have completed, by spring 2020, a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a biological science-related area (e.g., molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, cell biology, biotechnology) and meet the requirements of the Virginia Tech graduate program (http://www.biol.vt.edu/graduates/index.html) (see Application and General Information section). Previous laboratory experience (summer internships or honors research project) in molecular biology or related area is an absolute requirement and has to be demonstrated by either peer-reviewed publication and/or presentations in international meetings. GRE and GPA scores need to be in agreement with graduate school admission policies. If you are interested, please forward the following information to me: i) a copy of your resume/c.v, a copy of a recent transcript, and, ii) contact information for three references (reference letters submitted by the applicant are not acceptable), to the email address listed below. Please include the following statement in the subject line: GRD-APPLICATION-2020. International students are encouraged to apply but he/she should meet the departmental and graduate school requirements (please check the information listed in the link above). Summer support is guarantee through NSF funds allocated to the PI's research program and graduate Research Assistantships are also available.
