Acute onset of Painless unilateral lower leg edema
78yo female ,retired cleaner.
presented with 3/52 painless left lower leg edema.
-no pain, not getting worse , no fever, no recent traveling.
-normal appetite ,no change of bowel habit, no Weight change.
-groin lymph nodes: negative
-lower leg USS Doppler : negative for DVT
-abdominal USS and pelvic USS : unremarkable, no signs of vein compression (record of normal CT chest , Abdo and pelvis 3 yrs ago)
-blood test: chronic thrombocytopenia- platelet 120-130 since 2021 (normal in 2020) , newly developed neutropenia - WCC 3.7 (normal in July 2023) (result will be uploaded tomorrow
-flow cytology for peripheral lymphoma: normal
-other blood test ordered were normal : UEC/LFT , TSH, HbA1C, iron study
-no known cardiac background. (Medication list will be provided tomorrow. )
no FH of hematological issues .
WHAT further investigation should be considered?
