Orbital cellulitis refers to infection of the globe and surrounding soft tissues posterior to the orbital septum. Orbital cellulitis is primarily a clinical diagnosis; what is the role of imaging?  

眼眶蜂窝织炎是指眼球和眼眶隔膜后周围软组织感染。眼眶蜂窝织炎主要是依靠临床诊断，但影像学检查起什么作用？

Answer 答案：

CT of the brain and orbits with and without contrast is critical for evaluation of complications such as abscess or intracranial extension. MRI of the brain and orbits with and without contrast is performed if CT is non-diagnostic.

脑和眼眶CT平扫和增强对于排除脓肿或颅内累及是非常重要的。如果CT不能诊断，应该做脑和眼眶MRI平扫和增强。
